Event Description
Be a part of living history. Participate in one of the most exciting District events of the New Year. Experience the uplifting, informative and exciting African American Heritage Celebrating Strides Event -- celebrating the many challenges, advances, and world-wide achievements of African Americans.
The talents of TCC students, faculty, staff, and local community participants will be showcased as they educate, inspire, and entertain. Featured will be inspirational vocal performances by the historic Community Christian Church Choir of Fort Worth, and a moving dramatic interpretation by the Fort Worth Jubilee Theater cast. Arrive early to enjoy an art exhibit in the lobby, presented by renowned multi-media artist Letitia Huckaby.
Hors d'oeuvres served at 6:00 p.m. Program begins at 6:45 p.m.
This free event is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public, but seating is limited.
