Silent Epidemic of Suicide

The silent epidemic of youth suicide is ravaging our nation and stealing the futures of our young people.  Each week in our nation, we lose approximately 100+ young people to suicide.  Suicide is the second leading cause of death for Americans age 10-34.  This workshop will help you understand the facts, risk factors, and warning signs that are associated with suicide.

One incredible presentation, but was sadly conflicted with the career fair during the same time. More people should've came and supported the prevention of suicide. While I applaud the campus for continuing to show support I can't help it but say that the epidemic is still silent due to scheduling. I again applaud the department for giving the opportunity, more (and better) care should be taken when presenting this to the public having their undivided attention. so much important information was only given to few people in this event and because of that which will only stay silent. TCC can reach so many students in a growing population so I encourage to schedule this presentation again at a later date.
