The River Speaks Lecture and Workshop Series, “To B-STEM or not to B-STEM.”

The Trinity River Math, Science, and Business Division proudly presents the Fall 2017 installment of the Trinity River Campus’ The River Speaks Lecture and Workshop Series, “To B-STEM or not to B-STEM.” This all-day conference aims to help students decide whether a career in B-STEM (Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is right for them, as well as enlighten faculty, staff, and community members about these ever-expanding fields.

Register for the breakfast and lunch keynote sessions.

  • 8:30-10:10 a.m. - Breakfast & Keynote: Duane Cuttrell 
  • 10:15-11:15 a.m. - Breakout Session 1
  • 11:00-12:00 p.m. - Breakout Session 2
  • 12:00-12:40 p.m. - Lunch & Keynote: Don Kinard
  • 1:20-2:20 p.m. - Breakout Sesson 3
  • 2:30-5:00 p.m. - Film Screening of Hidden Figures

Keynote speakers include Duane Cuttrell, Director of Engineering and Technology Operations, Lockheed Martin and Don Kinard, Lockheed Martin Fellow, Lockheed Martin. ​​​​​​ Breakfast and Lunch will be provided during the Keynote to those who registered in advance. 

All additional break-out sessions will be open on a first-come, space-available basis. We welcome all attendees, even if they may not be able to attend the conference for the full day. Please drop-in for a break-out session if your schedule permits.
