Women in STEM Careers
Ava Damri, a 2018 graduate from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business with her MBA, will discuss opportunities for women in STEM careers. Ava chose to pursue a business graduate degree after working in a STEM field for six years as a technology consultant at Deloitte. In her role, she worked with both corporations and governments to implement technology solutions to business challenges. At Deloitte, Ava volunteered with Women in Technology (WIT) and during undergrad, she worked with Women in Science in Engineering (WISE). She is passionate about promoting both STEM education and careers because it was through another’s guidance that she found herself pursuing an engineering degree in college. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University. Utilizing her background in both technology and business, Ava will be starting a new role as a Human Capital Consultant. She will be working with clients to provide data-driven people solutions to business challenges.
