Abrazando al Éxito

Please join us for the annual district-wide celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.  This year’s theme is “La Lucha y La Cutura,” with José Angel Gutiérrez, professor emeritus of political science and founder of the Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas-Arlington, serving as this year’s keynote speaker. He will discuss the roles of Latina/o/x activism and civil rights movements in the past and present, how to become involved in contemporary civil rights activism, and advice for future activists.  The core ensemble Tres Vidas will perform during the event.

Pre-registration/Sign-In begins at 5 pm or pre-register online.
