Black History Month: Celebrating Strides

Please note this event was originally scheduled for Thursday, February 24 and has been rescheduled to Friday, March 4.

Celebrating Strides is Tarrant County College District’s celebration and recognition of Black History.

This year’s event features heavy hors d'oeuvres by TCC alum Chef Karriem, performance by Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance, spoken word artist Mike Guinn, live music from Quentin Moore, keynote address by Leah King, President and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County, and performances by Northwest music and dance students.

Registration opens at 4:30 p.m., pre-show and food services begins at 5 p.m., and the formal program begins at 6 p.m.

Event is free and open to students, staff, faculty, and the community.
