Day of the Dead – Altar: Tribute to La Malinche or Marina/Malintzin
An “Altar” is a traditional Hispanic pictorial that is used to give tribute to a loved one who has passed. The purpose of the altar is to show respect and remembering that person(s) by placing their favorite drink, food, and personal objects. It is known that by placing these objects the soul of the deceased will find their way back home.
Our “Altar” will pay tribute to our amazing La Malinche or Malintzin. Sponsored by Student Activities and O.L.A. (Organization of Latin Americans).
