Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) – Celebration: Recordando a Nuestros Amados (Remembering Our Loved Ones)

The 3rd Annual Día de los Muertos Celebration event will educate and engage the Southeast Campus community regarding this traditional Hispanic celebration that honors the lives of loved ones who are deceased. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the historical background of this amazing tradition and will be able to build their own altar and win a scholarship.

Please stop by the Main Commons starting October 29 to observe the “Altar” Homenaje a Frida Kahlo. Then celebrate with us on October 31 in the Ballroom with entertainment, guest speaker, food and scholarship opportunity.

Sponsored by Student Activities, E.L.L.A.S (Encouraging Latinas to Lead, Achieve and Succeed), Academic Affairs, and O.L.A. (Organization of Latin Americans).
