First generation giveaway! Tell us about your first time in college (FTIC) experience. We would love to hear your story for a chance to win a $25 visa gift card! Entries should include a 1-3 minute video and an essay that is at least 250 words. Submission deadline is Monday, December 5.

There will be 3 creative winners in this giveaway. The winning videos will be part of a FTIC video for future FTIC students. 

Requirements to participate:

• You must be a *first generation student. *a first generation student is one whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year college or university degree.
• A current TCC student
• Your essay (at least 250 words) must be about your own first time in college experience
  • Examples include: difficulties, things you wish you knew, experiences on or off campus (virtual or in-person), fun things on campus, what you enjoy doing on campus.
• Videos should be 1-3 minutes long, or a TikTok style video
• You must dress in business casual or professional attire
• Your video should contain information about first time experiences
• Be sure you have a clear background free from clutter
• Submit your video with the following information
  • Student ID number
  • Student e-mail address
  • Phone number (optional)
