Sculptor and conservationist Michael van Enter will present a lecture about his career in the field of art conservation and restoration. Born in South Africa, van Enter earned a degree from the Johannesburg School of Art, Ballet, Drama, and Music and since 1999 has lived and worked in Dallas, Texas. Among van Enter's clients are New York's Museum of Modern Art, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Rachofsky Collection. To quote van Enter, " Name any 20th-century artist of note, and I've fixed, cleaned, repaired, painted, welded or bolted it back together." Van Enter and his studio have proudly played an active role in the preservation of Dallas art, both public and private.
