Dr. Whitney Stewart (University of Texas at Dallas), will be presenting a Women’s History Month lecture, “Rachel’s Story: Slavery and Home on a Texas Plantation.” This talk is a featured part of her new book, This Is Our Home: Slavery and Struggle on Southern Plantations (UNC Press, 2023).
