One of the country’s leading experts in cognitive neuroscience of addiction, Dr. Filbey, will share her research on the complex effects that cannabis has on the brain.

Dr. Filbey is the author of The Neuroscience of Addiction, as well as a coauthor on an edited book and several book chapters. She is on the editorial boards of the American
Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Psychology of Addictive Behaviors and has been guest editor on several journals.

The overarching goal of Dr. Filbey’s research is to advance the understanding of bio-behavioral mechanisms related to addiction with the goal of enhancing early detection and intervention.
