Mental Health First Aid for Veterans is an eight − hour certification course that teaches attendees how to support veterans, service members and their families who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Attendees will learn how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and addictions. Specific risk factors faced by many veterans, service members and their families such as trauma, stress and separation will be addressed.
